Participating in long-distance races and demonstrating superior motorcycle engineering has been an important aspect of the Ducati world since the 1950s. Just as Ducati has revived the Motogiro d'Italia with great success, the classic D-Stripe design has been recovered from the past. Taken directly from the helmets used in the historic Motogiro d'Italia and Milano-Taranto races of the 1950s, the design makes its grand return on this new fabric jacket. Two white stripes cross the front and back of this black jacket and a small red D adorns the left breast, while a large red D decorates the back. The Ducati name is applied in fabric letters down the right sleeve, and elasticized fabric inserts in the armholes add comfort. Inside, a removable vest provides warmth in colder weather, and can be removed and worn on its own. Achieving the motorcycle look without all the technical features, the D-Stripe jacket is pure style.
